Are over-ear headphones comfortable for extended periods of listening?
Absolutely. Over-ear headphones are designed to spread their weight evenly around your ears rather than pressing directly on them. Combined with plush memory-foam padding, that makes them ideal for long, fatigue-free listening sessions.
Do over-ear headphones offer better sound quality compared to in-ear models?
In general, yes. Their larger drivers can reproduce richer bass and clearer highs with a wider soundstage. Of course, overall quality also depends on build, tuning and price range.
Are over-ear headphones suitable for sports or gym activities?
While they deliver excellent sound, their size makes them less practical for intense workouts. For training we recommend a dedicated pair from our sport earphones range.
How do I maintain and clean my over-ear headphones?
Regularly wipe the ear cups and headband with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let them dry fully before use. Avoid harsh chemicals and never submerge them in water. Removable ear pads can be cleaned with a little mild soap and air-dried.
Do over-ear headphones cause ear fatigue or increase the temperature around the ears?
They are generally more comfortable than on-ear models, but like any enclosed space they can slightly warm the ears over time. Most listeners find this minor; taking short breaks during long sessions keeps things comfortable.
