Translating the theme
English source, French included, and everything else through the usual tools.
Every string goes through WordPress’s translation functions under a single
text domain, harmony-sound. The theme and its plugin share it, so translating
once covers both.
What ships
languages/harmony-sound.pot— the source strings, for translators.languages/harmony-sound-fr_FR.po— French, readable and editable..moand.l10n.php— the compiled forms WordPress reads.
The .l10n.php is not optional: on WordPress 6.5 and later it is the preferred
format, and on some installs it is the only one actually loaded.
Translating into another language
Loco Translate is the simplest route: it reads the .pot, writes the .po,
and compiles both other formats. Poedit, WPML and Polylang work too.
Save your translations in wp-content/languages/themes/ rather than inside the
theme folder: a theme update replaces the theme folder.
